The new coronavirus called COVID-19 emerged in China and as of March 12, World Health Organization announced the COVID-19 outbreak a pandemic. The new Coronavirus is a virus that directly or indirectly spreads through contact with the mouth, eyes and nose and creates a respiratory infection.
Our university carries out information and precautionary activities regarding COVID-19 pandemic.
How to prevent
Particular attention should be paid to hand hygiene, the mouth, nose or eyes should not be touched until the hands are thoroughly cleaned. Hands should be washed at regular intervals with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. In cases where there is no access to water and soap, it should be cleaned frequently with hand sanitizers.
Attention should also be paid to the hygiene of frequently contacted areas such as door handles and table surfaces.
Tissues should be used only once.
When sneezing or coughing, the mouth and nose should be covered with a handkerchief, if there is no handkerchief, it should be covered with the inside of the elbow.
In order to strengthen the immune system, attention should be paid to healthy and balanced nutrition and consumption of raw or poorly cooked animal foods should be avoided.
If you have come from one of the countries where the infection has occurred in the last 14 days, if there are findings such as cough, fever, difficulty breathing, the nearest healthcare facility should be worn by wearing a surgical mask.
